Mikey Lavigne, a gentle, selfless, highly social & huge personality decorated 50 yr old Firefighter suffered a severe brain injury July 7, 2022 leaving him blind, paralyzed & unable to swallow, or to communicate well enough to defend himself. He did however retain all his memories, his hearing, his intelligence,& is completely aware of the terrifying state of helplessness & vulnerability he’s in. Having endured inhumane levels of prolonged confinement & suffering complications, many months on wakeful Life Support in ICU & 7 neurosurgeries since, leaving him now with no skull bone in the right side & with a large section of exposed brain tissue  that requires specialized highly trained daily care . Mikey’s fought so hard to survive & to improve, never ever complains,& goes out of his way to struggle to say kind words to anyone who enters his room… it is a true joy & honour to care for him & know him, I’ve never witnessed such bravery & resilience & tell him every single day that he is my greatest happiness, pride & joy,  & biggest Hero. He’s often expressed that his “one & only  greatest wish was to return home with his trained caregiver Spouse” (me😔) to our large rural fully adapted home he adores,& where he thrived & recovered amazingly upon his last discharge from Hospital, as I have secured every resource imaginable for him here & designed systems for him to be fully surrounded by loved ones & supporters…devised many ways for him to operate as independently as possible so as to increase his Morale, maximize his recovery of autonomy & functioning , give him a sense of control & provide the highest quality of life: being my absolute highest priorities. And Mikey has made clear that “coming home” is the only thought that’s caused him to be able to summon the inner-strength & the will to fight to survive & to overcome all he’s suffered & all he’s lost for so long. 

But tragically an estranged sister from the USA heard of Mikey’s substantial bank account balance & managed to manipulate the system & use legal loopholes to take control of his finances, against his will & in an profound state of trauma she found a way to secretly take him again his will from Hospital on August 14,2024 & is keeping him confined & completely isolated in the unknown location of the small dingy basement apartment she’s rented here (that we can see in her many daily TikTok posts under tamzzz262) is located in a small dark back bedroom un-equipped for his needs& without her having taken any training whatsoever to care for him, & this room with zero access to the outdoors nor a window, and force-feeding him things he doesn’t eat, & making him sit for prolonged excruciating periods of time in soiled diapers (when he is not even incontinent) & in the same position without turning him the required every 2hrs for his severe spasmodic paralyzed limbs & to prevent skin breakdown: All this & more are the tactics used to humiliate and control him & so alarmingly to engender fear in him so he will comply. She’s been witnessed in the past issuing “punishments” to Mikey for not doing or saying what she demands, she had withheld pain medication, physically hurt him, & spent hours upon hours psychologically tormenting & sadistically de-valuing him, to the point that he even entered a catatonic state of dissociative trauma for several weeks after being subjected to one of these “torment sessions”& this was in hospital where she was being watched, it’s beyond terrifying to imagine what must be going on now that’s she has him completely trapped & at her total mercy, for even his most basic needs, in the total isolation of that back bedroom of hers, with no one to see or hear what she’s doing to him. 

On a daily basis Mikey loves & benefits from his many telephone calls tremendously & to have loved ones visit is his only joy; but he has been forbidden use of a telephone & forbidden all visitors requesting access to him since he was taken on Aug 14th. The Police have told his captor that she must grant him his legal right to the telephone & I finally received a call from him last week, he was pitifully sobbing & stating repeatedly “I am trapped” ..”please help me..” and worse “I’m sorry..” as though he’s already been brainwashed into believing he is to blame for his abuse. He sounded absolutely helpless & hopeless & anguished & as though he could give up his will to live. He told me that the sister still won’t allow him any access to his own funds so he could purchase a wheelchair ramp & has consequently missed all his critical medical appts with his surgeons & cannot even escape in the event of fire. Never mind have any possibility of leaving to come home to see me. Any attempts that I or anyone else makes to knock on the door to see him will be refused he said,& will result in his being “punished severely”& he himself doesn’t even know the address where he is being kept.

 He is being refused to have the TV he wants to purchase with his money as well& is forced to listen only to the TV channels he finds offensive that the sister forces him to endure. Such as childish cartoons, torture in & of itself. His captor sister is a diagnosed Narcissistic Personality Disorder & Borderline Personality Disorder psych patient with active substance abuse issues. She has outward sadistic tendencies towards her brother since childhood & displays zero empathy towards him & others. Obsessed with control and consumed with superiority & the sense of entitlement to all attention at all times, she is the most dangerous person to be near this man, no less in charge of his well-being and survival. She regularly humiliates, mocks, & denigrates him, seeks to control his religious beliefs as well forbidding his repeated requests to be able to see & speak to his Minister,& has forbidden him any access whatsoever to me or to any therapies he requires for a chance at recovery, has canceled his beloved Music Therapy& thrown out his splints, braces& other physical supports. And cancelled the eye surgery & dental implants procedures I arranged , leaving him blind & without any teeth now at age 52. He is bedridden 24/7 and isn’t being transferred to a chair even, doesn’t have an adequate mattress for his condition, is being forced to endure sexually inappropriate & traumatic behaviour of hers (forced pornography, her stripping naked in his presence & also , forcibly removing his hospital gown & exposing his private parts while making lewd & humiliating comments. And she was witnessed performing an amateur “digital dis impaction” in hospital on one occasion when he needed to have a BM, causing him terrible pain, profuse bleeding & profound humiliation) She has thrown away all his adapted clothing forcing him to wear only a hospital gown & threw away all his art supplies, his writing tablet he used to communicate,& all his cards of support & many sentimental mementos I’d decorated his room with from many loves ones over the past 2 years. This is all in an insidious desire to de-program , devalue,confuse ,isolate & gaslight him, so as to seek & maintain her current complete control over his will & his finances that she wants for herself. And it will hasten his death, one that he will tragically experience all alone & in abject terror, but giving her the quickest access to this cash she values more than this beautiful Soul’s precious human Life & Spirit.

And there are many hours of proof of these facts on audio/video tape, as well as many many credible Witnesses, a number who are family members even, who are making sworn statements regarding all these facts & incidents to submit to the Authorities.

In the meantime, Mikey Lavigne is being tortured and abused and violated in unbearable ways & the Authorities have been notified but are taking FAR too much time. Without , at the very least, access to us his loved ones , Mikey will succumb to this abuse & is at extremely high risk of giving up the will to go on. This petition was suggested by the Canadian Human Rights & Freedoms agency to pressure & demand his sister to provide Mikey with telephone access daily & to allow him his beloved visitors immediately& while waiting for the Authorities to intervene. Please help me to help him. Please🙏

With support from us through this petition & the phone/visitors, he will be so incredibly touched by this demonstration of love of strangers, to know that he is not alone & that he is valued and worth fighting for & that there is hope for him, to escape this anguish and return home. I’m pleading with you to simply sign this petition as a means of sending this precious suffering gentle soul the message that HE HAS HOPE, the message that he is NOT ALONE and that HE IS VALUED, & WORTHY OF LOVE & CARE. And worthy of his fundamental human rights as a Canadian Citizen , especially one who’s so selflessly risked his own life all these years as a Firefighter to save the lives and properties of complete strangers .
