The Issue

Multiple Reno area residents are calling for the public to stop allowing a group operating under the name Veterans Alliance USA, to publicly fundraise.

Our community is calling for transparency from a group operating under the name Veterans Alliance USA, which has been fundraising across Northern Nevada for the past two and a half years reportedly collecting over $800,000.

Based on firsthand observations and public records, several concerns have been raised:

The organization does not appear in the IRS database as a registered 501(c)(3) under its name or EIN

Documentation presented during fundraising included an EIN that does not match the group collecting donations
That EIN appears to belong to a separate nonprofit that has since been dissolved

Additional concerns include a lack of verifiable evidence of services to veterans, no clear independent oversight, and publicly visible spending that appears inconsistent with charitable fundraising.

Our community strongly supports veterans but that support depends on honesty and accountability.

This petition asks local grocery stores and businesses to pause allowing Veterans Alliance USA to solicit donations until they can provide clear, verifiable proof of their nonprofit status and how funds are being used.

Donors deserve transparency. Veterans deserve better.
