I am parent to an 11 year old SEND son with a EHCP. 

He started secondary school on 29th August 2025 and I had to keep him home before the first half term break after finding out he was able to self harm (not life threatening) while in class and no-one noticed. 

I reported this to the academy immediately on 22nd October via email, attaching a video asking how this happened. To this day I have had no response. Instead there was a Social Services Referral by the academy. 

My LA requested an Emergency EHCP Review so we could do a change of placement but the school refused because it needed to be over zoom for me to attend. 

I called and requested the Governors contact details to escalate my safeguarding complaint and less than 24 hours later, I was hit with a letter from them, informing me that I had never logged a safeguarding issue, I have done nothing but harass the office staff with emails, have not attended meeting to discuss my behaviour and was showing them that I am ‘unprepared to support my sons education.’

They are now labelling me as ‘Vexatious’ and will be dealing me via the Policy in place. 

my sons school Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy has just had a Independent Investigation for over 300 pupils and parents, mainly due to being ignored when they made complaints and then being treated under this policy  

This needs to stop being used to shut parents down and blocking them from holding schools/academy’s accountable. 

The results from the Independent Investigation into Mossbourne proved everything us parents knew it would …. NOTHING! 

We are being hung out to dry by these schools/academy’s and then being attacked by our Local Authorities and Social Services.
