There was no public hearing given to the residents here in Transylvania County. There should have been a public hearing for public discussion on Flock cameras in Transylvania County.

Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t even give the public any access to a Flock Transparency Portal. *As of 9/19 there has been a Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office Flock Transparency Portal created. Thats great, thank you. But now we see the Sheriff is sharing OUR DATA with 2,612 agencies. 

*As of Oct 23rd I see the Sheriff is sharing our data w 2,584 outside agencies. 

Stop the spread of unconstitutional mass surveillance. 

It's unwarranted, unreasonable, and unconstitutional. 

I call on Transylvania County Sheriff Chuck Owenby to please end the contract and please lawfully remove all Flock cameras in Transylvania County NC.

*Update 9/9 Brevard NC is not moving forward with any ALPR contract. I edited the title of the petition to remove Brevard, and "paused " the No Axon ALPR's Brevard NC Facebook group I had made. DeFlock Transylvania County NC is still active on Facebook! 

*Update Oct 23 We still have had no public hearing on Flock cameras being used here in Transylvania County.  There are some of us who speak against Flock during meetings. We are the ones fighting for your rights! Our next Transylvania County Board of Commissioners meeting is Oct 26th at 6pm and the address is 101 S. Broad Street, Brevard, NC 28712.
