Dear short term rental users, local business owners and residents, 

Currently, our short-term rental community in Lakeshore faces a significant challenge.  Council is advocating for a ban on short term rentals within Lakeshore with no good reason to back up their decision.

Such a ban would regrettably prevent us, as STR owners from welcoming guest to our community in the future.
The proposed ban will have far reaching consequences for both our local economy and the unique experiences that make Lakeshore a sought-after destination.

Our lakes are a shared natural resource that offer a wide range of benefits to both residents, business owners and visitors. Accessibility to our lake provides opportunities for tourism and a global appreciation of Canada's natural beauty… some would like to claim and privatize this resource under false pretences. 

We believe that responsible short term rentals contribute to the fabric of our community, offering visitors a chance to experience the true essence of Lakeshore.
