Paying $8000+ a semester to attend the University of Wollongong and still having to pay for parking is unfair. Many students, including myself, chose this university because it was easier to access by car and offered a free carpool parking scheme. Now, with the removal of this scheme, we are left with no choice but to pay for parking on top of our already high tuition fees.

The university's decision disproportionately affects students who live far from public transport or cannot afford its high costs. This change adds an unnecessary financial burden on us and contradicts the reasons many of us chose this campus in the first place.

We urge the University of Wollongong to reconsider and reinstate the free carpool parking scheme. Sign this petition if you believe that students should not have to bear additional costs just for attending their chosen university.
