Hi there!

This is a picture from several years ago when we put our driveway in, right where Town Pump is wanting to put their truck stop and travel plaza.  We attended the West Valley Council meeting last night and they voted to hold a special meeting in July to discuss this issue.  The meeting with be at the Frenchtown Fire Department, Thursday July 10th, at 6PM.  There will be people from the county in attendance, including the Senior Planner for the Department of Planning, Development, & Sustainability.  We are currently engaged in correspondence with our County Commissioners as well.  I would encourage you all to continue to share and get the word out.  The petition will likely not be enough, but it will sure help.  Share it like wildfire, and write or email our elected county officials. We need to let them know our concerns and how big of an issue this is for our community.  If you know of anyone that can help in any way, whether it is someone from the county, newspaper, tv station, Senate, Government, attorney, you name it; I would encourage you to e-mail them, call them, or write and bring this matter to their attention and ask for help.  If we do nothing, nothing will happen, and we will have a Town Pump Travel plaza and truck stop right in the heart of our town.  A volunteer is currently working on getting a petition printed out and having it available at our local businesses and post office in Frenchtown.  If you would like a copy of the petition to gather signatures or share, please e-mail me and I can get that to you.  Please make sure you are at the West Valley Council meeting on July 10th to share your concerns and ask your questions.  This will be a must.  I will update as I know more.
