Dear Supporter

We asked you to help us reach 4000 signatures opposing a supermarket development on Helensburgh's waterfront within the week - and you did it. Thank you.

The strength of your opposition to a supermarket development is helping Helensburgh Community Council to show Argyll and Bute Council that it is making the wrong decision if it goes ahead with its plans for a supermarket on Helensburgh's waterfront. 

Now we need to make sure every Argyll and Bute councillor in our area hears our concerns directly.

Will you write to your local councillors and tell them you do not want a supermarket on the waterfront?

You can use our model letter to make it quick and easy to email your councillors.

Helensburgh and the surrounding area is split into three wards: Helensburgh Central, Helensburgh and Lomond South, and Lomond North. Each one has a group of three or four elected councillors to represent them. Can you write to the councillors elected for your area this weekend?

You can find email addresses for all the Argyll and Bute councillors in and around Helensburgh, along with the model letter here.

Please keep sharing the petition with your friends and family. There are paper copies in shops and community spaces around Helensburgh as well.
