Silver Voices To Lobby Pensions Commission On State Pension Problems!
The Silver Voices Director will meet the Chair of the Pensions Commission, Baroness Jean Drake, later this month, to discuss our concerns that the problems and anomalies with the state pension have been ignored by her Commission so far. The Commission has been set up by the Government to make recommendations on the future of pensions in the UK. Dennis Reed will be raising how the value of the state pension is being degraded by the tax system, the growing gap between the old and new state pensions, the low value of the basic state pension itself and the problem of frozen pensions.
