Silver Voices continues to argue that raising the lower tax threshold is the best way to protect low income households from the cost of living increases and our arguments are hitting home. Andy Burnham and the other candidates in the Makerfield by-election are being forced to consider this argument seriously. Our campaign will continue until victory on this. 

In the meantime please sign and share our new petition about the disturbing rise in the number of businesses stipulating that they will only accept payments via a banking app. This directly discriminates against those without a smartphone or who are not online. The Government is doing nothing to stop these discriminatory practices, which are undermining the cash economy.
