Hi Everyone
The time to act is NOW! Hines submitted its application to the Inland Wetlands Commission.
We need to send letters AGAINST the development to Inland Wetlands.
Below is a sample text that you can use in your email to the Inland Wetlands Commission. Feel free to add or remove bullets to speak from your own point of view, but the key is VOLUME. Inland Wetlands needs to see hundreds of letters against this project.
Thank you for your support!

SAMPLE TEXT:

My name is ______ and I live at _____.
I am writing to state my opposition to the application of Hines SL Wilton Associates for wetlands approval of the planned development at 329, 331 & 345 Belden Hill Road (WET 25-14).
The applicant has not provided adequate proof that the proposed development will not harm the wetlands of the development site.
The applicant has not provided evidence that construction work will not disturb the Belden Brook aquifer and other well water recharge water sources. The applicant states short-term water quality impacts, such as erosion and sedimentation, will be controlled during construction using "robust erosion and sediment controls" but has not disclosed what they are or how the applicant will fix the damage to homeowners if the controls fail.
The applicant has not included enough details about the inventory of species where they intend to implement their work. I believe there are federally protected species on the property, especially in the dead trees they intend to remove. The applicant has not done enough work to prove that they won't harm the existing ecology of the wetlands on the site.
The applicant ignores a basic fact that what is done above the ground is done equally below the ground. The applicant claims it will submit a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and a Sediment & Erosion Control Plan. It is not included in its application for public review or comment; therefore Inland Wetlands should NOT approve this application until those Plans are submitted, reviewed and commented upon by the residents of Wilton.
Please include this letter of opposition in the record and notify the Applicant and the Commission. Thank you.
Respectfully,
