TREES NOT TESLAS: DON'T LET MUSK CHAINSAW OUR TREES

The City of Marion Council has approved plans to revoke the community status of green space at 7A Chestnut Court Tonsley and allow out-of-state developer MAB CCT Pty Ltd to build a factory for tenancy by Tesla.

Their own Community Feedback Report shows the 95% disapproval rating the proposal received, yet they approved it anyway.

A government that refuses to listen to their people no longer represents the communities they govern; it shows they live in the pockets of giant corporations and will actively choose profit before people.

We're calling on the Council and State Government to:

• Listen to the voices of the community they represent
• Reject the revocation and sale of this publicly owned green space
• Prevent the expansion of Tesla facilities into the surrounding community

The community has already spoken: we do not want this.

Anyone is welcome to sign and share — even if you don't live within the City of Marion, this decision sets a bad precedent which affects all of us, and is a turning-point in our governments' relations to corporations.

This petition will be given to Minister for Local Government Joe Szakacs, who gets to make the final decision (currently within an unknown timeframe).
