The Town of Islip is pushing forward a costly roller rink at Central Islip Recreation Center Park — without community input, without transparency, and without addressing our most urgent needs.

While our families face rising crime, broken infrastructure, housing insecurity, and economic instability, town officials are spending hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars on a project we didn’t ask for — and calling it “unrealistic” to meet with us about it.

We say: Enough.

Central Islip deserves more than photo ops and empty promises. We demand:

1. An immediate halt to the roller rink project until full community consultation occurs
2. A public town hall with residents before any further spending
3. A community-led process for deciding how public funds are used in Central Islip
