On November 28, 2022, the Rancheros, the local group coordinating opposition to this development, were informed by Councilman Cunningham's office that Jim Portner, representing the developer, has withdrawn the rezoning application for the NE corner of Tanque Verde and Houghton Roads.  As a result, this rezoning request will not be heard by the Mayor and Council.

We fully anticipate that Jim Portner will return next year with another proposal.

On behalf of the Rancheros, I'd like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the generous support you gave in opposition to this rezoning request.  Through our efforts we secured a disapproval of the request from the City Zoning Examiner’s Office as well as support from various City Council members.
