Stop the rezoning of Wigsten Road

The Issue

Developer Kirchhoff is asking the Town of Pleasant Valley board to rezone the property on Wigsten Road.  It is currently zoned for residential homes.  The developer is requesting the property rezoned to heavy to medium density - asking to build over 200 apartments. 

All of Pleasant Valley will be impacted.  The increased amount of traffic generated from having an additional 200 homes will negatively impact the flow of traffic on Salt Point Turnpike, North Avenue, West Road, Sherow Road, and Wigsten Road.  This traffic will also affect Route 44, which is already a disaster during certain times of the day.  There will also be an adverse effect on our wildlife, water table, and school system.

The next board meeting is January 23rd; we need to show up and say no and sign this petition stating NO to the REZONING REQUEST.
