The Issue

Living just a mile away from the newly built AI Center in Vineland, I've witnessed firsthand how such developments can impact local communities. While technological progress is important, we must also consider the residents who call this place home. Now, a proposal aims to rezone land for a new Data One facility, a structure rumored to expand the center into a two story 588,000' building, including power generation facility, water intfastructure and liquefied natural gas system

The proposed rezoning will lead to increased traffic congestion, noise pollution, and strain on local resources. More worrying, it risks setting a precedent for unchecked industrial growth in a residential area. The environmental impact cannot be overlooked either; the increase in energy consumption and carbon emissions from such a massive facility would contribute significantly to our already stretched ecosystem.

Furthermore, local property values are likely to be affected, deterring future families from moving into our peaceful neighborhood. Schools and community services may struggle to keep pace with the rapid changes spurred by such developments, potentially lowering the quality of life for current residents.

We need the decision-makers in Vineland to listen to the community's voices. There are alternative locations better suited to accommodate such large-scale facilities without compromising residential areas. We urge local authorities to conduct thorough impact assessments and engage with residents before making any final decisions about the rezoning. Our community deserves to be heard, and together, we can find a solution that balances economic development with preserving our way of life.

By signing this petition, you are standing up for Vineland's community well-being and advocating for responsible and sustainable urban planning. Let us ensure that the future of Vineland remains bright for everyone—not just for corporate interests. Please join us in opposing this rezoning proposal and protecting the character of our beloved community.
