This is a call of action to New York State Legislature to STOP  the retail sales of the following Psychoactive drugs.  
Please, join us in this necessary fight to keep our family, friends and community safe. Sign this petition to lend your support to ban the sale of dangerous psychoactive substances in New York State.  Together, we can make New York State a healthier place for current and future generations.
New York State  allows the retail sale of the following substances that  have a negative impact on our Communities and Mental Health of many individuals.
Nitrous Oxide (whippets), Kratom, Spice/K2/Posh, Amanita (PolkaDot), Tianeptine, Bath Salts, Delta 8 & Delta 9, THCA, and ThCV

It's out of control and we have lost far too many loved ones to these substances.

**The Risks  & Harmful Effects Involved**

*Nitrous Oxide*

Often misused as a recreational drug, poses serious health risks, including neuron damage, brain damage, sudden death.
 
* Kratom* 

Despite its guise as a harmless plant it acts as an opioid, Kratom can lead to addiction and serious health issues like liver damage, heart complications and Death. Synthetic cannabinoids, known as Spice, K2, or Posh, are unpredictable and have been linked to severe side effects such as heart attacks, paranoia, and hallucinations. 

*Amanita mushrooms (PolkaDot)*

Possess psychoactive properties that can result in severe psychological distress. Tianeptine, although marketed as a supplement, acts on opioid receptors and can be addictive, leading to overdose risks. Bath Salts, another synthetic drug, have been known to cause agitation, paranoia, and violent behavior.

*Delta 8 & Delta 9 THC *

While similar to Delta 9 found in cannabis, have intoxicating effects will  impair judgment and motor functions. THCA and ThCV, though less well-known, can also have psychoactive and physiological effects that merit close scrutiny. Self Harming effects included.

**The Path Forward**
We urge  New York State  to take immediate action to ban the sale of these harmful dangerous, substances in gas stations, smoke shops, deli's etc.   By enacting this ban, we can protect our communities, especially the youth, from the harmful long term effects of these drugs and create a safer environment for all.
