First thing this morning a local farmer removed the community funded and maintained footbridge that links Hinton  and Chilton with Mudford. 

This is an illegal act because the PC do not own it but made a donation in 2020 so the footpath will have to remain closed (only at the weir) until the structural survey works out what needs to be done and the bridge returned.  In the meantime we need it on the agenda of the PC every month until its replaced also we must continue to use the footpath right up to the lost bridge... use it or lose it.

There are people who want it permanently closed to raise the value of their property.  We want this footpath and  not  a reroute and the bridge return as soon as possible.

I need some volunteers to  help clear the path of stinging nettles and thistles as they are not helping when you wear shorts.  This Saturday or Sunday
