We’re in the final month of the public consultation period for the City of Subiaco’s new civic building and gardens project. If you can, please keep spreading the word about the City’s plans to destroy this leafy, cool, tranquil place to make way for an outdoor concert venue. Numbers are everything!
For those of you in Perth, the City will be hosting a number of walking tours through the gardens in the week beginning 9 February to explain its plans and enable people to ask questions. The tours will be in small groups. They are asking people to express their interest in participating in the tours by sending an email by 4 February to engagement @subiaco.wa.gov.au.
I’ve been told they want to work out numbers before confirming times. There should be morning, lunchtime and afternoon sessions. They say people will be contacted and given a choice of times.
This will be a good opportunity to grill City representatives and make your views known.
Like the weather in Perth at the moment, community feedback on this project is really hotting up!
