Stop the Ready Mix Concrete Plant in Bamnalipada Gb Road Ovla Thane Maharashtra
The Issue
Respected Residents of GB Road: bearing survey no 28/3A& 9
We seek your support to SAY NO to Ready Mix Concrete Plant coming up in Bamnalipada Ovla (GB Road)
This plant if commissioned will cause the following:
Air pollution beyond 2 to 3 kms, dust particles in air
Smell and Stench and Noise
Water pollution in ground due to alkaline water being discharged
100s of RMC trucks will run on narrow by lanes near Bamnalipada society, Priti PArk, Cosmos Hawiaan, Trupti Bungalow and many more.
Road from TMC as it is is not good in any shape or form in these lanes, our children walk on roads to go to school here and there short distance, in that these 100 trucks will run from aai nagar/ bakery area into main road. Water in ground will get depleted
This land is very close to Sanjay Gandhi Forest violating Eco Sensitive Norms as well
We need to stop this as one community of GB Road.
Solict your co-operation to write to Maharashtra Pollution Control Board to help STOP this
We are not against development, but no RMC plant in city limits is humble request and this plant can be else where too
Please write email to othane@mpcb.gov.in, mpcbthane@mpcb.gov.in, srothane1@mpcb.gov.in, srothane2@mpcb.gov.in, tmrpprojectoffice@gmail.com
Moreover, the incessant noise expected from plant operations will shatter the peace that defines our community. Constant exposure to high noise levels can lead to stress, disrupted sleep, and even loss of hearing with prolonged exposure, says the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
This development poses a threat not just to our health but also to our quality of life. Instead of improving the infrastructure and facilities that support eco-friendly living, we're being subjected to harmful industrial activity that prioritizes profit over people.
There are viable alternatives that can support development without endangering human health. Green spaces or community parks can provide much-needed recreational areas that enhance the community's lifestyle. The local government has the opportunity to consider these environmentally friendly alternatives that align with our community's needs.
We urge the local authorities and environmental agencies to halt the development of this concrete plant and explore better alternatives that promote sustainability and community welfare.
Please help protect the health and well-being of our community in Ovla GB Road Thane by signing this petition to stop the establishment of the Ready Mix Concrete Plant in Bamnalipada.
