We, the residents of South Carolina, are demanding an immediate independent audit of Dominion Energy due to extreme and unexplained increases in our electric bills.
Families across our communities are being hit with power bills doubling and even tripling—many exceeding $500–$600 per month—without clear justification. These increases are not sustainable, and they are putting real financial strain on working families.
At the same time, Dominion Energy is seeking approval for yet another rate increase. Before any additional financial burden is placed on customers, there must be full transparency and accountability.
We demand:
A full, independent audit of Dominion Energy’s billing practices and rate structures
Clear, public explanation of recent rate increases
A halt on any further rate hikes until the audit is completed
Stronger oversight from the Public Service Commission of South Carolina
Utility companies provide essential services. That responsibility should come with honesty, fairness, and accountability. We are left with confusion and financial hardship.
