We, the undersigned, call on Bristol City Council Economy and Skills Policy Committee not to approve the proposed licence fee increases for St Nicholas Market Traders.

 
These increases threaten the survival of many small, independent businesses and could lead to the collapse of our unique and historic market.

St Nick’s market:

• Supports a community of local, diverse, and independent traders
• Brings life to a historic building dating back to 1743
• Is a much-loved part of Bristol’s community and tourism experience
