The £20 million spending proposal for Kirkcaldy's High Street is not what the townspeople desire. As a resident deeply invested in the welfare and future of Kirkcaldy, it is disheartening to see such significant funds being allocated towards a plan that does not align with the needs or aspirations of our community. This is a golden opportunity for Kirkcaldy to truly transform its High Street into something vibrant and beneficial for all. However, as it stands, the current proposal lacks vision and does not reflect the desires of those who call this town home.

Kirkcaldy has always had the potential for greatness, especially in revitalizing its High Street, which has long been the heart of our town. Yet, instead of listening to the voices of the people, a mere handful of officials have pushed forward with a plan that feels disconnected from the realities on the ground. According to the reactions on social media,the majority of residents have expressed a strong desire for improvements in areas such as local businesses, green spaces, and facilities that genuinely serve our community's needs.

The destruction of the car parks should not be using this funding as the fund is for regeneration of the town, not something which had already been decided regardless of the funding... Use the money for more... For hope.
