The Seychelles Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment are starting a program to trap and likely euthanize stray dogs in Seychelles. This means all dogs, owned or not, found roaming the streets when the officers are passing by will be collected. They will supposedly be kept at a shelter for 7 days and if not claimed will be euthanized. Pet owners who come to claim their dog will have to pay a penalty.

This is outrageous! The government should instead work to sterilize and rehome stray dogs. Collect and kill is NOT the answer! These animals cannot speak for themselves. We need to be their voice and stand for them.
