Our petition has been all over the news - Hundreds of thousands sign petition against privatisation of Channel 4
and Matt Lucas, Dermot O’Leary, Maxine Peake, Nicola Coughlan, Michael Sheen and Edgar Wright have all shared it. Pressure in Parliament is building too - politicians of all parties are opposing the sell off, including Jeremy Hunt, Ruth Davidson, Lucy Powell, Dawn Butler and Menzies Campbell.
Thanks very much to them for using their platforms to help spread the word. We've made a great start, haven't we? Let's get to 500k..

Did you watch Channel 4's brilliant drama It's A Sin? (if you didn't, it's over on All4 which is - for the time being - still free.)
Steven Fry (cast as fictional Conservative MP, Arthur Garrison) said he "read the script through a wall of tears"
Channel 4 has been responsible for hard hitting, powerful, risk-taking drama that's melted our bones for decades. Would It's A Sin have been made without it?
Apparently BBC One and ITV 'declined to develop the series' and Channel 4 got behind it after 'their commissioning editor of drama, Lee Mason, fought for it.'
It's A Sin was nominated for 11 Baftas
If we want to continue to have brilliant, compelling drama that speaks to our lives in all their messy, complicated glory then we need to protect what nurtures it. Creativity just doesn't do well under conditions of control - it's suffocated.
If profit and stakeholders are the be-all and end-all, then risk goes well and truly out the window.
Stakeholders don't like mess, they like guaranteed outcomes. They like profit.
This country has a history of producing internationally celebrated films, drama, comedy and entertainment. It's one of Britain's most successful exports. Why would we want to mess with that? Whose interest would that serve?
It's a high price to pay as collateral damage for suppressing news programmes.
Please keep signing and sharing
