There's no thought for elderly, disabled and vulnerable passengers who rely on traditional customer service at Macclesfield Station.

Having that physical presence also provides safety and reassurance for the travelling public as well as advice and help.

Let’s also spare a thought for the hundreds of thousands of rail staff whose jobs could be at risk, including employees in our community.
