Below is the link to the only pro-paved Minnesota Valley Trail petition that we are aware of. We're not sure when it was started but it was many years ago. 542 signatures. Only 7 of those signatures have been added in the last two years. Yes...two years. 7 total comments to the petition. Most of those comments are actually by people opposing a paved trail.
Then there is our petition opposing the paved trail. It was started on October 31st 2014. 3375 signatures and almost 2400 comments opposing a paved trail.
Is this really what the founders of our country envisioned? Is this really why we vote and elect people to represent us? Is this really how our system is supposed to work?
So far our voice has has been heard....and tossed aside as like yesterday's trash. We are a "fringe portion of the cycling community". We are "hobbyists".
Come help us. Show up. Speak up. Have an opinion and make it known.
