If Serpells Lane carpark in Glenferrie, Hawthorn is rezoned and sold, Glenferrie stands to lose 89 parking spaces in a prime location next to the train station and shopping strip. The carpark in question is also home to several large trees which contain mini ecosystems of birds and small mammals. 

Council has begun the process of rezoning the land, which will likely make it available to development. Many local residents are opposed to the rezoning and sale of Serpells Lane carpark, as the local area’s open space is already dwindling. 

Now is the time to save Serpells Lane carpark. The Council will decide its fate soon, but it isn’t too late. Please sign the petition to help save this valuable piece of public land from rezoning and sale!
