Stop the Penn State commonwealth campus closures!

Stop the Penn State commonwealth campus closures!
The Issue
Penn State Administration has announced the possible closing of several Penn State commonwealth campuses across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. These campus closures could include but are not limited to: Beaver, DuBois, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, Hazleton, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Schuylkill, Shenango, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and York.
The Penn State commonwealth campuses are extremely pivotal in the pursuit of higher education and these closures will put many faculty and staff out of jobs, create difficulty for students to pursue higher education, and communities will lose a safe space. By signing this petition, you strictly oppose these campus closures and wish for Penn State Administration to find an alternative way to keep Penn State campuses open. Penn State has a very special place in so many of our hearts and we can work together to find a solution to solve this problem.
The official closings will be announced within the next few weeks—but it is important that we act now. Even if your local campus isn’t affected by these closures, we must stand together, united, as one Penn State student body to oppose this attack on our education.
WE ARE!!
