Please keep signing. This petition definitely had an impact on board members and they now know there's considerable opposition to this plan. They chose to go ahead anyway, but it's not just up to them. The PUC has to approve and we have an opportunity to stop this at that level for a number of reasons, primarily because this action is not in line with the board's legislatively mandate mission to keep transportation to and from the mainland affordable for all islanders, not just the wealthy.

Also, the more signatures the easier it will be to get help from our state legislators who've been asked to help guide us through the PUC process to make sure we are taken seriously at that state oversight level.
