STOP the Paramount-Warner Bros Mega-Merger: Don’t Let Hollywood Become One Giant Monopoly!

The Issue

I'm a huge movie and TV fan, and right now I'm genuinely worried about what's happening in Hollywood.

Paramount Skydance is pushing hard to buy Warner Bros. Discovery in a massive deal worth over $110 billion. If it goes through, one company would suddenly control HBO, Max, Paramount+, Warner Bros. movies, DC Comics, CBS, TNT, and a ton more. We're talking about fewer choices on our screens, higher streaming bills, and thousands of jobs at risk in an industry that's already been through brutal layoffs.

I've watched prices keep climbing while the quality and variety of shows feel like they're shrinking. Now this merger could make it even worse — less competition means studios take fewer risks, cancel more unique projects, and the people who actually make the content (writers, crew, actors) get squeezed even harder.

The shareholder vote is coming up fast on April 23, 2026. That's why I'm starting this petition: We need the Department of Justice, the FTC, and Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders to block this merger before it's too late.

This isn't just about big corporations fighting over money. It's about keeping real creativity alive and making sure a handful of billionaires (and now foreign sovereign wealth funds pouring in billions) don't get to decide what stories get told — and how much we pay for them.

If you’re tired of paying more for less, if you love having actual options when you open your streaming apps, please sign and share this. Every signature counts, especially in the next couple of weeks.

Let’s send a clear message: Hollywood shouldn’t become one giant monopoly.
