The Issue

The Natural Bridge Zoo has continued to abuse and neglect their animals for years now. (resulting in many animal deaths) The Human Society of the United States tried to get involved and shut down this "establishment" in 2015. It is time to bring this to everyone's attention in hopes to close the Natural Bridge Zoo. The animals are greatly impacted by this treatment (cuts, etc). People don't seem to recognize what goes on behind closed doors when it comes to zoo's or aquariums. People visit these places for their own excitement or entertainment, giving your money to these Ludacris "businesses" gives them financial support to keep their establishments alive.

I can tell you one thing. There are about 450,000 elephants left in the world. In 1950, which was about 70 years ago, there were 5,000,000 elephants. The numbers are dwindling from poaching, or being taken advantage of. Wouldn't you think that we should be showing more respect to them, and not using them as a circus act or a joke? Continuing to go down this path only leads to one thing. The mass speciocide of animals. Putting them in small cages and treating them like monsters isn't humane or fair. Sanctuaries are the best (and only)way to ensure their safety.

Besides the fact that the elephant population is dwindling, the Natural Bridge Zoo has been continuing to hurt their animals. Its so sad that I need to even write a petition about this. You would think that someone who works at this zoo would have empathy, or even come out and address the speculation. I have heard many things within the media talking about animals as if they're monsters, or circus acts. They are LIVING, BREATHING, BEINGS, and I think its time they start getting treated like it. Thank you.
