For an arts high school that champions authentic creativity, original thought, and true self-expression, this is deeply disappointing. Artificial intelligence cannot replicate the human experience, vulnerability, and genuine emotion that we, the real student artists pour into their work.

After reviewing the process of the organization behind the project, it is clear that AI tools were used without transparency or regard for our school's artistic standards.

We are calling on our community to sign this petition to stand against AI-generated art on our campus. Instead, let's give real, talented LACHSA students the opportunity to design and paint a mural that carries authentic feeling, meaning, and true artistic integrity.
