In October of 2021 the city has placed 11 violations on our building and many are of real safety concern. Due to the current litigation against the property and the violations stemming from safety issues a buyer would have a very tough time trying to secure a mortgage to purchase in our building. Although this is alarming the true concern comes from the safety of the residents and the people that come into contact with our building. We also are concerned about the expertise of the contractors working on the building. We are not seeing the board respond to the safety concerns and need to let them know they represent us. We will need to make sure they are ALL meeting more regularly and discussing the concerns of the unit owners. We need to rally together to demand an emergency meeting to understand what recent work orders have taken place, the costs of these repairs and who is doing the work. Also we need to discuss why the rules and regulations were updated to include an unrealistic amount for personal insurance when this has never been the case. Our insurance polices would exceed that of a house (SFR). Please sign the below petition as we need 20% of unit owners to demand a meeting and address this mis-management of reserves and failure to do what the elected officials vowed to do, that is work for us and our safety.
