Yesterday, 14th October 2025, a new construction plan for the proposed solar development in Wisborough Green and Loxwood was published. It would seem that the American investment company behind the proposed destruction of our countryside are intending for the plans to be discussed at the Chichester committee meeting on 5th November.

In the plan, in answer to the safety concerns raised by the British Horse Society, they admit that the access road cannot be widened to accommodate horse riders and HGV's. There is also no answer to the concerns regarding the closure of public rights of way and forcing people to use busy roads.

"A consultation response provided by WSCC on 8th August 2025 raised questions regarding the use of the
passing places by equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians. Whilst it was requested that additional width is provided within the passing places, it should be noted that these have been designed to the extent of the publicly maintainable highway and suitably accommodate the passing manoeuvre between a car and articulated HGV".

You may have seen recent articles in the press about areas of Great Britain being inundated with these destructive schemes. If you value the safety of our road users and the beauty of the local countryside then please let your feelings known before it is too late.

Over 2500 people have signed the petition to oppose the development. Chichester Council will see this as only ONE objection.

Please send an email to: DCPLANNING@CHICHESTER.GOV.UK quoting planning ref: 25/00658/FUL and your name and address and say that you want to lodge a formal objection. If you can, please include a reason that matters the most to you.

E.g
