We, the undersigned, call on Maidstone Borough Council to postpone the proposed public consultation on the draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the Heathlands Garden Settlement in Lenham Heath, Kent until the following conditions are met:

• A full transport assessment is completed, including detailed traffic modelling using the Kent Integrated Transport Model.
• Government provides clarity on support for a new railway station.
• A costed infrastructure delivery plan is prepared and published.
• Meaningful engagement is held with Lenham Parish Council and Save Our Heath Lands (SOHL).

Furthermore, we urge the Council to explore alternative, more sustainable development solutions that:

• Respect our countryside and existing communities.
• Deliver new homes within the next 5–10 years to maintain the 5-year housing land supply.
