Today, I am writing on behalf of my local community concerning an already started installation of telegraph poles (up to 9 metres tall) in our residential area. This may sound trivial to some, but for us, it’s a matter of safety and pride in our community. One of our own local, visually impaired residents could furthermore face unnecessary challenges and potential dangers due to these sudden obstacles.

It is also about maintaining the unique character of our neighbourhood. We take deep pride in our community's aesthetics, and these telegraph poles would undoubtedly hamper the beauty of our area, thereby reducing community morale. 

Installation of telegraph poles is an outdated method for internet connectivity, especially when feasible alternatives such as underground installation are available that are less visually intrusive and safer. We urge authorities to explore alternative solutions to provide internet without compromising safety or aesthetics. It is possible to balance technological progress with respect for individual needs and community character.
