Hi. People living in Greece speaking here.

We recently lost:

• More than 1 million acres of land and forests
• Countless animal lives
• Countless homes and city spaces
• Countless farmers' fields
• 2 lives of people working in extreme heat
• 1 person dying from a collapsing bridge, which was neglected for years, and countless injured
• 2 pilots, ages 27 and 34, who were driving a 70's Canadair plane that crushed because it was so old.
• The lives of 600+ people who were fleeting war and poverty and fell in the hands of the Greek coastguard, who capsized their boat.
• 26 asylum seekers getting burned alive trying to cross the greek border through the fire

The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, says that 'we have already a lot (of means) to fight the wildfires'. We disagree. We see a greek state whose people keep on living out of solidarity with each other, despite state neglect. The government keeps hiring policemen and buying Rafale fighter planes, instead of employing firefighters, health professionals, and spending on ambulances and measures to fight the climate + migrant crisis. And they are both here.

Our government does not listen to us. But if you care, they will.

1. Employment of more firefighters and effective measures for countering wildfires
2. Justice regarding the Pylos boat incident from the Greek Coastguard and the 26 lives lost in the border
3. Justice regarding the wildfires and their casualties from the Minister of Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias

Because if white Western Europeans care, they will finally take us seriously.
