This petition has surprisingly slowed down.  I do not believe for a second it is because students are happy with taking on debt, so there has to be another reason.  It might be a generational issue.  My generation experienced free higher education and saw the beginnings of tuition fees and student loans, which sparked mass protests.  More recent students have not experienced this.  I think the majority have fallen into a mindset of acceptance of this situation, of taking on debt.  A better mindset would be one of questioning, what has become, a status quo and exercising the simple power of their democracy, even if it is just by signing a petition. 

Could all parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, lecturers, discuss this petition with their student and sixth form (adult) children.

It does not take much to spark change, supporting this petition could be that spark.
