Petition updateStop the Proposed FAA NextGen Flights Over Culver CityPLEASE SIGN AND SUPPORT THIS NEW PETITION!!!
Parents and Residents of Culver City
Jun 8, 2017
-- Please sign this new petition started by residents of West Adams in Los Angeles, Culver City’s neighboring community (see the link to the new petition below). The petition is urging Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti to join the ONGOING lawsuits filed by other cities (Culver City, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Orange County) challenging the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) environmental impact assessment related to the changes to aircraft overflight procedures, bringing planes lower and more frequent over our homes, schools, and neighborhoods, and negatively impacting our health, property values, and peaceful enjoyment of the outdoors. Mayor Eric Garcetti may run for the U.S. Presidency in the near future. It is important for him to hear the plight of residents and communities ACROSS the country. Link to the new petition: https://www.change.org/p/mayor-garcetti-lacity-org-ask-la-city-to-join-the-lawsuits-filed-against-the-faa-nextgen Please circulate the petition to all your friends, family, and neighbors, and encourage those who are CURRENTLY not impacted by aircraft noise to sign also. According to this recent Washington Post report: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/trafficandcommuting/white-house-formally-backs-plan-to-send-30000-federal-workers-to-private-corporation/2017/06/05/b8ce5546-4987-11e7-9669-250d0b15f83b_story.html?utm_term=.56d89e4dc1c1 NextGen is intended to “accommodate a 20 percent increase in passengers in the next two decades”. This may mean additional flight paths, aircraft noise, and pollution affecting residents, neighborhoods, and communities that have not been impacted. In the end, we ALL breathe the same air.
