Parents and Residents of Culver City
Feb 16, 2016
REQUEST FOR ADDRESS INFORMATION TO ASSESS IMPACT OF LAX OVERFLIGHTS:
The City Council has been working for over a year to have Culver City’s voice heard by those at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and in the halls of Congress regarding the noise and other impacts of the FAA’s NextGen project – a project that is altering flight paths for departures and arrivals at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Because you may have shared prior concerns related to LAX overflights with the City, the City Clerk’s Office is sending you this email to ask for your assistance in the City’s ongoing efforts to collect data to bolster the City’s efforts to minimize the impacts of flights departing and arriving at LAX on Culver City.
Please send an email reply to city.clerk@culvercity.org with the street name and block number where you experienced the impacts of LAX overflights (for most people, this will be your residence or office address - for example: “9770 Culver Boulevard” or “2100 block of Main Street”). One email per address is sufficient. The City is gathering this information so we can better determine the areas of the City impacted by LAX overflights. The City will add this information to that already gathered and submitted to request updated flight and altitude information from LAX and the FAA.
Having this updated information is crucial to the City Council’s ongoing efforts to influence decision makers at the FAA and Culver City’s elected officials at the Federal level to help protect Culver City’s quality of life. .
Thank you for your assistance and participation!
