Hello!

As a student at Tandem Friends School, I want to bring attention to a growing concern regarding the extensive website bans currently enforced by the Lightspeed Filter Agent at our school. Initially, restrictions were limited to popular social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, as well as some general tools like Chat GPT, which many students have come to expect in a digital age. However, the list has since expanded dramatically, to a point where it feels as though nearly everything has been blocked.

Websites that are vital for academic research and personal development, such as DuckDuckGo, Pinterest, educational YouTube videos, and even Wikipedia, are no longer accessible. Just a few minutes ago, they blocked EVERY SINGLE SHOPPING WEBSITE. (For me, this is the worst they've ever done) This drastic measure has severely limited our ability to gather information for projects and assignments, hindering our learning experience. 

As students, we believe that access to a wide range of online resources is crucial for our education and growth. Our school motto is freedom with responsibility. They are breaking their own motto, and it's getting out of hand.  I hope you will sign as this is an important issue to the students at Tandem Friends School, and if we succeed, this can lead to justice for other students around the country.
