The Issue

Walking through downtown Louisville, I can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched. It's unsettling to know that Flock cameras are scattered throughout the city, often unseen, creating an ever-present sense of surveillance. Even though I'm just going about my day, the idea that someone could be monitoring my every move is unnerving. This isn't just about me—doesn't anyone else feel this paranoia?

Our right to privacy should not be compromised by overreaching surveillance measures. As a community, we value safety and security, but there must be a balance. It's crucial to ensure that such technologies do not infringe upon our basic privacy rights. More transparency is needed about where these cameras are located and how the footage is used because it certainly hasn't been helping reduce the crime here.

If we allow the expansion of Flock cameras unchecked, we risk normalizing an invasion of privacy. This isn't a future we want for Louisville. It's time to question the necessity and scope of such surveillance and demand that city officials consider more privacy-respecting alternatives.

We must urge Louisville leaders to halt the expansion of Flock cameras and reassess the impact on our community. Our privacy rights are precious and worth protecting. By signing this petition, we can take a stand for a more transparent and balanced approach to public safety.

Our voices matter, and together, we can create the change we need. Please sign this petition to stop the expansion of Flock cameras in Louisville.
