Tomorrow 1/5 the IDO amendments for Upzoning will be formally sent to City Council. It will then be referred to The Land Use Planning and Zoning Committee for a hearing on a future date, before being sent back to the full city council for a finalized vote at another meeting.
They tried to hide this by putting it in the minutes instead of the agenda, that’s why this is a last minute call to action.
This first introduction is where we need to start speaking up against the amendments that were potentially illegally inserted that will rezone almost all single family homes.
Sign up is limited to 30 people and you will need to choose “General Comment” because they didn’t put it on the agenda for the meeting.
If speaking, we need to ask why the amendments are being introduced to the city council when updates were made rezoning nearly all Single Family Homes that didn’t follow the process to allow for public comment or notice.
We need to demand this is investigated by the inspector General and question the legality of a city wide rezoning amendment being entered after the public notice and comment process ended.
