Loudoun County Public Schools are a very good school organization, however they have a problem. They have been blocking websites a LOT lately. Most of the websites that get blocked are gaming websites, which kind of makes sense, but then there are perfectly fine and educational resources that just get blocked for no reason. One example of this is GeoGuessr which although may be considered a gaming website, owns Seterra, an educational game under their domain which therefore blocks it. Seterra is a fun geography game which helps students study, and blocking it is completely nonsensical. Too many websites getting blocked(including gaming websites) can lead to boredom during student free time. The excessive blockings of websites have gotten many students mad. Even some teachers have gotten their own study resources blocked leading them to get mad. While blocking websites may seem fully reasonable at first, when too many websites get blocked it can lead to boredom and a lack of study resources.
