I am a 55+ resident of Regina, Saskatchewan, and I am currently facing the heartbreaking threat of eviction from the place I have called home for many, many years. The harsh reality is that Regina Housing and Saskatchewan Housing authorities are evicting individuals like me, who have spent significant portions of our lives, sometimes decades, in these homes. Many of us have lived in these residences for 13, 20, 29, or even 30 years and longer. The drastic decision to evict senior tenants disregards the contributions we have made and ignores the importance of keeping communities intact, especially for vulnerable populations.
