The Issue
Dear Friends:
Greetings from Bocas del Toro, Panamá -- we need your help to save the wildlife that would be affected by a multi-day digital music festival organized by events company Ad Sidera Semper.
Ad Sidera Semper is planning to host yet another extremely amplified, high-decibel rave party on the environmentally significant, pristine beaches of Bocas from October 31 through November 5, 2024. We hear they are gunning for Red Frog Beach this year. The Red Frog area is located within the buffer zone bordering the National Nature Reserve of Isla Bastimentos. The 24/7 outdoor noise pollution will be terrible for the environment here. (We understand the importance of tourism in Bocas, but there are better venues for these kinds of events.)
Please help us support the nesting turtles, the sloths and the monkeys, the birds and the butterflies. Let's stop the madness! We would really appreciate it if you would sign this petition. (Spanish below.)

Saludos desde Bocas del Toro, Panamá. Por medio de la presente nos dirigimos a ustedes primero brindándole un cordial saludo y a la vez hacerle la petición con el apoyo para salva guardar la vida silvestre que se estaría afectando con la celebración de una empresa de eventos llamada Ad Sidera Semper.
Ad Sidera Semper está planeando organizar otra fiesta rave con un alto nivel de decibeles y una amplificación extrema en las playas prístinas y ambientalmente significativas de Bocas del 31 de octubre al 5 de noviembre de 2024. Escuchamos que este año apuntan a Red Frog Beach. El área de Red Frog está ubicada dentro de la zona de amortiguamiento que bordea la Reserva Natural Nacional de Isla Bastimentos. La contaminación acústica al aire libre las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, será terrible para el medio ambiente aquí. (Entendemos la importancia del turismo en Bocas, pero hay mejores lugares para este tipo de eventos).
Ayúdenos a proteger la flora y fauna que existe en playa Rana Roja. ¡Detengamos la locura! Le agradeceríamos mucho que firmara esta petición.
