As noted on this site a few days ago, Duke Energy has not provided any documentation or done any due diligence to prove that this project is necessary. No need/risk assessments have been done regarding ecology/geology/economic impacts. This 'agreement' or 'welcoming', even with restrictions is PREMATURE. Have these officials not paid any attention to what their constituents have been saying???????? I didn't realize that the Hendersonville officials had a private meeting with Duke Energy's Asheville team lead on 9/18....beware - this is how they're going to get it done --- private backdoor deals.
