The Issue

Update 1/22/26 Appications have officially been filed!!! The pre-meeting with the City that happened in November, obviously went in their favor for them to move forward. Don't trust the city!

As a homeowner whose property borders our cherished golf course, I am reaching out to all members of the Wingfield Springs Community Association (WSCA) - Homeowners Association (HOA),  and surrounding neighbors to voice deep concerns about the proposed development of the golf course that is an integral part of our community. This isn't just about a piece of land; it's about preserving the integrity, beauty, and intentions behind our master planned golf course community.

Our neighborhood was originally designed to include this golf course as a centerpiece to bring value, recreation, and scenic beauty to every home here. Many of us moved to this location attracted by the promise of living in harmony with this lush green space. This course not only serves as a recreational venue but also plays a significant role in maintaining the charm and property values of our area.

Recent plans to replace it with development of residential units (or any development that changes it from a golf course green belt)  threaten more than just the green lawns; they endanger the very essence of our community. Increased traffic, reduced property values, and loss of green space are only a few of the significant negative impacts we might face. For many of us, these changes mean not just losing an asset, but being forced to live in a vastly altered neighborhood.

Preserving the golf course is both an environmental concern and a community priority. The open space provides a habitat for local wildlife,  including the Red Hawks, and a serene escape for residents. Removing this land would mean a substantial loss to our local ecosystem and the daily lives of those of us who cherish these natural surroundings.

I urge you to think about the long-term implications and join me in preserving the character and quality of our neighborhood. Please take a moment to sign this petition and show our collective opposition to the development plans. Together, let's protect what makes our community special.
