The issue

My parents have enjoyed walking through the lush and thriving environment of Woodvale Village's Forest Lake area for as long as I can remember. Those treasured morning and evening walks have become a part of our family life, a testament to the health and diversity of our local environment. Now, Woodvale Village, a unique landscape housing thousands of native trees and an astonishing array of bird species, faces devastation.

The trees in this area serve more than aesthetic purposes. They also function as vital homes and nests for our significant bird population, supporting necessary biodiversity within our ecosystem. If these trees, both native and non-native, are destroyed, the damage won't just be immediate; it will also have far-reaching and long-term effects, upsetting the delicate balance of our local wildlife.

However, WE have the power to voice our objections and demand to halt this imminent destruction! We cannot stand by and watch such short-term solutions creating long-term damage! Just like my family, there are countless other families who enjoy and appreciate this thriving natural environment and we cannot afford to lose it.

This matter is not just personal to us, it's vital for our community's overall health, happiness, and biodiversity. It is time to rise and make our voices heard for the sake of preserving our beloved environment. Let’s stand together to protect Woodvale Village's Forest Lake area and save our cherished trees and birdlife. Sign this petition and share it widely to help stop this destructive plan. Thank you.
